Courtesy Rules For Your Upcoming Session
With 15 years of newborn photography experience and 30+ years as a mother, I know how important it is to have a calm, quiet shooting area to get the best results with your newborn. Working together, we will create the most peaceful space for your sweet new baby. Let’s make sure they can relax and we can create images that your family will enjoy for a lifetime.
Thank you so much for your cooperation. I can’t wait to see you and your baby!
only two people allowed in the shooting area
Mom and one other person may quietly watch the magic of your baby's session happen. Too much noise and distraction will wake your sweet baby. Any siblings/grandparents you would like photographed may arrive to the studio in the last 30 minutes of your baby's session, no exceptions. I am happy to shoot them and include those photos in your final image gallery.
no personal cameras or video during your newborn session
Thank you for respecting my studio space and the time/energy I have put in to create this moment for your sweet baby. I build custom nests for each session and have certain angles in mind, as well as limited time with each child, so cameras away please. Be fully present in this moment, and don’t worry; all the beautiful imagery I am capturing will be in an image gallery asap, no need to snap a phone shot.
any outside props must be previously discussed and approved
My studio closet has everything needed for your session, no need to bring props unless there is something special you would like to have included in your baby's imagery. If you have a special blanket, toy, etc. that is sentimental, that’s great! Just let me know via text/email with a picture of the prop so I can prepare for it, as I have a flow in mind for each session. I will find a creative way to include it with your baby's portraits.
